How to register your child for Unsworth Academy
The Bury Schools’ Online Admissions application allows parents/carers of children starting the Reception class at Primary School and for those transferring from Year 6 at primary school to secondary school to apply online.
To be able to apply for a place in a Bury school, you must be resident in Bury. If you live outside Bury, you must apply through your home authority.

Visit the Bury Secondary Schools Admissions page and read the Transfer To Secondary School Guide.

Complete the Transfer To Secondary School online form. You will need to do this for each child you want to transfer.

For children due to transfer to Secondary School in September, places are confirmed on 1st March. Online applicants can view their child’s allocated school by logging into your account. If you have applied by application form or telephone, a notification letter will be posted out on 1st March.
