During their time in Key stage 4, learners are offered a wealth of information and advice regarding their post-16 choices. With government requirements, all learners must remain in education or employment with training until the age of 18.
Within school, we have several people that can advise you with any questions you have about your next steps. Mrs Isles (Assistant Principal/Careers lead and Ms Lowthian (Careers Administrator) are always happy to answer any questions you may have. We also have an independent Careers Advisor, Mr K Welch, who is in school one day per week, normally on a Friday. Mr Welch will organise appointments with learners to discuss their options and future. If you want an appointment organising, please speak to your form tutor, Mrs Isles, Ms Lowthian or Mr Welch who can be contacted directly at kevin.welch@unsworth.set.org
As part of the school careers programme, Year 10 and 11 learners are also given presentations and advice within school in September to show what local colleges have to offer learners of Unsworth Academy. If you want to see these presentations or view their websites click the links below.
